Question - What did you enjoy today?

  1. That was an incredibly healthy day of eating. Do you think the fact that you were going to blog about it influenced your choices for the day? Or is that just how you eat every day?

  2. What did I really enjoy for the day? Potato chips. My son knows that I really like them, so he brought me some home as a treat. Luckily, I didn't eat the whole big bag in one sitting.

    1. You know, I was just thinking the other day that I really need to have a sandwich with crushed potato chips on top. That used to be a favorite combination, but I haven't done it in a while. Do you ever do that?

Actually, I didn't think to blog about the day's eats until Wednesday night on my walk home from the train, before I ate my hard-boiled egg meal. I try to eat healthy, or healthfully :-), during the week and then allow for some splurging on the weekends. Having said that, I actually really liked everything that I ate that day. To keep my healthy eating during the week from being a bore, I try to genuinely cook things I'm excited about, and I always allow myself 1-2 desserts each day. Though I have pull back from the three desserts a day habit I first formed when I began my four-meal-a-day schedule.

    2. I have never put crushed potato chips on my sandwich, but I know that crushed chips are a favorite addition to many dishes. I like all of my sandwich crunch to come from veggies. I eat enough chips and the such all by themselves.
